I shape stone into quiet reflections of longing, uncertainty and connection, the hidden emotional layers of human life.

Artist statement

My work is rooted in collage and stone sculpture, and begins with an interest in people — how we are connected, how we influence one another, and how upbringing and environment shape who we become. I am drawn to the layered nature of human experience, where visible surfaces often conceal deeper emotional and psychological realities.
Themes such as dreams, longing, uncertainty, vulnerability, and human connection run through my practice like a quiet undercurrent.

Marble carving plays a central role in my work. I am drawn to the resistance and quiet presence of stone, and how hard material can be transformed into soft forms. Working with marble is a slow and attentive process — a gradual unfolding through removal.

I begin with a feeling or idea, meaning arises through the dialogue between intention, capability as an artist, and the material itself.
Carving becomes a quiet negotiation between control and surrender.

Although collage and stone carving are different in nature, both allow me to work directly with my hands and translate ideas into form. Moving between these practices creates a balance between fragility and strength, intuition and giving form to clear ideas.

In recent work, I explore emotional states such as dreams, longing, insecurity, and the subtle tension between hope and fear — experiences that often remain just beneath the surface of daily life.

Through my work, I hope to create space for reflection, recognition, and emotional resonance. If a work can touch someone, even briefly, that is already meaningful to me.
